more from other team mom

Hi John - Just wanted to follow up with you on a few items. I am
taking on the team manager position for the 5/6 White Boys team and
had a couple of questions for you.

1) Hotline - In your previous e-mail regarding hotlines, you only
have one number listed for the white and black 5/6 team. As we will
have different schedules and information that needs to be posted, can
you please assign us two different numbers?

2) Are you planning on having a meeting with team managers to
distribute information such as medical releases, site coordinator
information and supplies, etc.? If not, when can I get that
information so I can begin getting our parents and coach's set up for
the season.

3) I'm not sure how 5/6 is different from 3/4, but last year we had a
parent timekeeper and scorekeeper at home games and a scorekeeper at
away games. Is this still the same for 5/6?

4) When will the uniforms be ready for distribution?

5) Again, referring to last season, it was my responsibility to set
up the NTX LAX information for our team. Is that the same this year
or are you handling that for all teams? If me, then I will need the
username and password for our account.

That's all I can think of at this point, but I'm sure something else
will pop up later.

Thanks for coordinating everything.

Note from other team mom

Good afternoon parents - I'm looking forward to watching our boys play
together this year and to some fun sideline camaraderie for all. As
we get the season started here's a few things for you...

1) Roster - I've attached a preliminary roster. Please review your
information and send me a note back with any changes and/or
additions. There are a few holes that I would love to complete such
as parents names and cell phones for both parents. Also, if you want
e-mails to be sent to both parents, please send me the other address
and I will add to the distribution list. Please don't fill in my
spreadsheet, but just return the information in the body of your e-mail.

The roster has four tabs at the bottom which are self explanatory.
Schedule is on the last tab. I will print the pocket rosters once our
roster is finalized and laminate them for you to have at the games.
It's a great way to remember the kids and offer all of them some
personal cheers. On that note, if your child goes by a different name
than what I have listed, please update me on that as well.

2) Just to give you a head's up, I'm a believer in too much
information vs. too little. I will typically send out practice
reminders each week as well as a game reminder with field locations,
volunteers spots, uniform, time, etc., so don't add that 2nd e-mail if
you don't want to hear from me often:)

3) As in the past we will be needing time keepers and scorekeepers
for each game. I will be going down the roster and assigning those in
order once the roster is finalized. If there is a specific game that
you will not be available, please let me know as soon as possible, so
I can alter the schedule. Only one parent needs to be available when
you are assigned, it does not assume both of you will be there,
however if you can both be at a game that would be great. With 15
games each family will have to volunteer at least once with some
repeats. So if both parents can do one game, please let me know.

4) Site Coordinator - We need one parent to volunteer for this
position. We haven't had the team manager meeting yet, so I could be
forgetting something, but what I remember is the site coordinator is
responsible for such things as:
a) Making sure the timekeeper/scorekeeper table is set up at each
home game
b) Paying the refs at each home/away game (money provided by league)
c) Making sure horn, timer, etc are at table
d) Making sure extra balls are at end fields
e) Putting away tables and collecting items as noted above

5) Even if you don't have changes to the above, please respond to this
e-mail with a simple "got it" so that I know that the current
addresses in my distribution list are correct.

Thanks so much and here's to a great 2010 Spring LAX season!

IMPORTANT - Please Register Your Son on NTYLL!

I need every family to do two things:
1) Register your son with NTYLL - if your son is not registered and then assigned to a roster prior to games starting on Feb 20th, he will not play. Go to: http://www.uslacrossentx.org/, click on the NTYLL button on the left, and go to "Online Player Registration". Roughly 75% of you have not done this yet - it only takes a few minutes.
2) Pay any outstanding balances owed to SCLA. I don't want to look like the bad guy if your son doesn't play because of outstanding balances. Please go to: http://www.sportssignup.com/Southlake-Lacrosse-Association-Online-Registration.start to pay via credit card.
The season is arriving quickly, so we need to act quickly.

Hello parents - The season is approaching fast and there are a couple of housekeeping items I need...
1) US Lacrosse Registration - please make sure your player's number is current and not expired.
2) North Texas Lacrosse Registration - It is mandatory that you register your player with the NTYLL (North Texas Youth Lacrosse League), the governing arm of US Lacrosse in our part of Texas. The registration is free and enables your son to play in US Lacrosse sanctioned games and tournaments. If you do not register your player, he CANNOT take the field. To register your player, please have your US LAX # and expiration date ready Go to this website. Click on the NTYLL button on the left. Choose the Online Player registration and complete all the required fields. Team request is Southlake Dragons.
Please do this asap so I can get our team roster completed with NTYLL.

Parents:

Thanks so much for being patient as we try and identify indoor practice facilities for our Dragons. It's not been easy but we have something lined up for the next couple of practices.

We will practice Saturday, 2/13 from 8:00-10:00 am & Monday, 2/15 from 11:00-12:30 pm at:

Blue Sky Sports Center: Keller, Texas
331 Golden Triangle Blvd.
Keller, Texas 76248
Phone: (817) 379-5805

Please make sure your Dragon is ready to go (pads, helmet, etc) right on time. As I stated in yesterday's email there will be a nominal charge for these indoor facilities, so we'll keep track and let you know what you owe.
